Penn Masala is back by popular demand! They made their first appearance in Cary at the annual Diwali Celebration in 2003. After wowing the audience and receiving several requests for their return, they are back! Penn Masala is the world's first and premier South Asian a cappella group, formed by students at the University of Pennsylvania . Members fuse South Asian music with a Western musical style in original song formats. This defining characteristic of the group brought it immediate attention then and continues to draw crowds today.
